School Council

At Manor Farm Academy, we have two representatives from each class, from Year 1 to Year 6. Each School Councillor brings the pupil voice to our weekly meetings, to help improve our academy. We gather information from our peers in many different ways, including asking questions, using the suggestion box on our display and inviting our class to give their own ideas.

We have taken part in the Pupil Voice meeting for the Lincolnshire hub where we discussed civic responsibilities and how we can get involved in the wider community. This is something we are focussed on to develop it further. More recently, all School Councils across L.E.A.D. Academy Trust met together virtually and we have all been tasked with creating a leaflet which celebrates the top ten. We cannot wait to share this with everyone.

Each year, a new team are selected. The current School Council team look through new applications to choose the next year’s team. We then spend the final half term working together in order to teach the upcoming councilors how to effectively collect and deliver the pupil voice at our meetings.

Our School Council team are determined to make our academy and community a better place for all.
